When the conservatives won their first minority government it stopped the liberals from banning handguns as part of their political promises if elected...and their intentions as mentioned just before the election by the former liberal PM to adapt the australian firearm restrictions to this country.:onCrack:
Fortunately it went under with the crumbling of the lieberal party.

I call that a win.

NONE is right. That one was a win.

What we have to do right now is TELL the conservatives who it was that got them elected:US. And then tell them that if they really want to have our support, they had better start fulfilling some of their election promises..... and as long as they do that, they will have our support. Nothing else matters. The Conservatives are pretty good economic managers as compared to those other crackpots, so WE focus on OUR SINGLE ISSUE: FREEDOM.

And if they betray us (same as has every other political party we have) and take away the semis and pumps, we still have our legal unregistered antiques.

How big a mess can two 8-bore barrels, loaded with SSG, actually make?

I really don't want to know.

Hey, it's better to be prepared for the worst and hope for the best. I'm hoping C-391 goes through and the CPC gets a majority next time around . . . but I'd buy a double barrel shotgun in case they didn't, too. It's not being defeatist to aknowledge the obvious - gun control has banned these firearms in other countries, doesn't hurt to have a plan in case it happens here.

What you claim to be the obvious is claiming defeat! And what you suggest to be the obvious is feeding anti's with ideas.Anti's are people who want to control with out fear,they fear guns.They should also fear Louisville Sluggers and Sherwood hockey sticks.Their education is high but their street smarts are nil.

Uhhhhh it's PRETTY OBVIOUS that the law is in place in those countries. How is that claiming defeat? By no means did I say it was in place here.

Wow guys, relax a bit, check your brains at the door and just have some fun from time to time.

I would happily use a single shot. In fact more often then not I just load one shot into my pump anyways, maybe two. I keep my gun with an empty chamber, but lately I seem to just sit there with a cartridge on the lifter. If I hit, I hit. If I miss, oh well. :)
 
In keeping with the line of logic of the thread....a snare and slingshot or boomerang, because all other guns will be banned eventually too.

Just thinking one step ahead....:rolleyes:

If you could get past your enjoyment out of trying to get under people's skin in the shotgun forum and went down to the emergency preparedness/survival forum, you'd see a tonne of them.

I thought I had you on the ignore list years ago. Time to go back and figure out how do that again.

Me too! but I do not obsess about having to make a choice or need to poll popular opinion about what others would choose if whatever was banned. I just tuned into this thread because it just may be the dumbest poll I have ever seen on nutz. If something gets outlawed,,,,,well,,,,, I will just deal with it when it happens, and nothing on this thread will in any way be usefull information, other than silly entertainment.

The emergency preparedness/survival forum does not interest me and I do not have time for it, but certain polls do. I do not care if you put me on your ignore list. You can be certain that you will not be on mine:D
