Although in the 80's and early 90's I had occasion to hunt with my AR15's I rarely did just because there was always something else on the gun rack that could do the job better. Back then I was detained once by the forest rangers and once by the RCMP in the bush until they sorted out that I was not breaking the law. I use to get some odd looks from other hunters too. That said I wish they were still NR today so at least you could take them to the bush or camp for some recreational shooting. I certainly signed the petition but with the current government I am not holding my breath. On my wish list is the MP5.

MP5, been in love since the first time I used one in the Navy. Although, I could also go for a Sig Sauer MPX.
Walther WA 2000 in 300 Win Mag. (they made them in 7.62 NATO, 7.5x55 Swiss, and 300 Win Mag).
On the sole condition that I wouldn't have to give up my other "black" rifles. The WA-2000 isn't exactly practical for day to day shooting. But if I won the lotto? Yah, I'd track one down.
