Maybe this has been done here before?
But I thought is was an interesting idea. Sort of like the dreaded 'one rifle' discussions, if you had to get by with one powder which would you pick?
I've only been reloading for a few years and learned quite a bit from this forum
the books and a bit of experience now. The powder that I seem to use the most for my rifle stable is boring old IMR 3031. It works awsome in most of my lever guns; 30-30, 375 Win, 45-70 which I use quite a bit. My 'go to' bolt gun seems to be a 308 right now and I've found slightly better powders for it but none do much better than IMR 3031. This choice would leave some of the high stepp'n cartridges (270 wby for instance) kind of SOL but no powder can do everthing I guess..
What would you guys pick for the best all round propellant?
