Anybody care to chime in on the quality of the MFS? Specifically the 7.62x54r SP
Thx
Tim

9mm - primers are a bit hard so some pistols like an M&P or a Glock won't set them off. They always light on a second hit.
.223 - ran a few thousand through an AR with no issues. Functioned great, reasonably accurate for what I was doing with it.
.308- VERY hot ammo. Lots of flat primers wasn't too fond of using it in a semi. Probably fine for a bolt action.
7.62 x 54r - okay through a mosin. Just like surplus. Out of a few hundred I had 3 or 4 not fire.
7.62 x 39 - similar performance to surplus, non corrosive, no issues.

Just my experience with it.

So north sylva claims to have a shortage and i bet they will charge more for it , but Tenda is blowing it out on sale!!! hahaha TENDA FOR THE WIN!!!

I don't think NS did. Maybe just my interpretation but they said:

Just a heads up guys, we received information that due to the current political situation there is possible shortage of Bernaul & Tula ammo coming from Europe. If you want to stock up on these ammunition it is the time to do it now. Thanks.

What happened to the free shipping over 600? That was fantastic ,granted $50 to ship a bunch of ammo isn't bad,but free was nicer.

A very good review.

Berdan primers ????

MFS SP review.

I attempted sighting in a scope up at a friends cottage. I fired 5 rounds attempting to zero, while dialing left I raked a tree behind the target and actually took down a fair sized Birch tree with 5 of the connecting rounds. Was rather funny watching it fall over after shot 5. In my opinion this makes it my most powerful round lol fired from a SVT40. So yes in a controlled environment this round can also be used for logging and hunting.

Otherwise the FMJ MFS runs fine too.

9mm runs fine, I'm new to pistols so accuracy is avg from a shadow 1
7.62x39mm fires everytime, SP and FMJ about 3 inch at 100 yrds avg for me with irons
7.62x54r only shot MFS, soft points are beasts from Mosins or SVT

Can't go wrong this is decent ammo
