If you live long enough, you'll see more and more idotic features of our beloved firearms act:rolleyes:. It was bad enough that 25 ACP and 32 ACP were prohibited, but after a phone call to the CFO's office, I just found out that all 32 and 25's are prohibited! I thought it only applied to the ACP's. I saw a Colt Police Positive with a 6" barrel listed on the exchange as prohib, so I thought I'd check it out. The gun in question is chambered in 32 Smith & Wesson Long. I contacted the seller to let him know that his gun may be registered incorrectly, and I figured I'd check it out myself to be sure, boy do I have egg on my face now!

Not to worry we all keep learning in this sport.

NAA.

the only exceptions are a few competition guns in 32 that are sanctioned for international competitions.... gov banned all 32's then had to back pedal once they realized they had also banned competition guns.

But it doesn't include new models of competition guns that have been introduced since the law went into effect. That is because the competition guns are specifically named.

Sub 4 inch 32 cal antique rimfire handguns are still ok, addmitedly the ammo is getting harder to find.

it gets worse
take a tc contender, i have been informed by the rcmp that this handgun when fitted with a 25-06 barrel is prohibited
yes you read that correctly even though its a rifle cartridge the law makes no exceptions for it.

unreal but nevertheless true

It begs the question, "How can a bore diameter can be bad?" The old .32-20 should not be classified with the rounds normally chambered in a pocket pistol, but logic doesn't seem to apply. It gets worse when you consider that all .32 caliber pistol rounds are really .30s, and yet there are several .30 caliber pistol cartridges not classified as prohibs.

Don't even try to apply logic in figuring it out. Allan Rock used every trick available to get rid of as many handguns as possible without his liberals having to pay compensation. When the Grandfathered owners pass away, so do their guns, at no cost to the government. We were all asleep and they stuck the knife deep.

If you ever have a . . " well maybe this liberal mp ain't so bad after all thought", . . remember how slick these bottom feeders slither around when given an opportunity. This applys double for the NDP.

I know what you mean. A Friend at my club has two identical colt officers model match revolver that are 6" barrel one in .32 s&w long and one in .38 special. otherwise identical. they are both target revolvers and quite large but one is restricted and one is prohibited. go figure. the stupidity of liberal law makers knows no bounds.

Yup. None of it makes any sense.

It's like asking someone who is deathly afraid of cars to write the rules of the road.
