If you only rifles chambered in 2 cartridges, what would they be?

223 for certain. The larger one is a tough pick, for practical reasons a 30 06 or 7mm Rem mag, though I might regret that if I ever got the chance to hit up Africa. Unlikely unless I hit the lotto or some other windfall. For sentimental reasons the 303 would be hard to get rid of. Thankfully I don't have to choose, just need to keep buying more loading dies...

If you read the beginning of the thread there was a presumption that everyone would own a .22lr so it was asking for 2 centrefire cartridges. In light of that would you keep your 308 and add a smaller or larger cartridge (say 204/223 or 35 Whelen/375H&H), or would you go for 2 different cartridges with more space in between (243/25-06/260 & 338 Win/375 H&H/45-70)?
Yup, read it too fast. 308 Win and 223 then. I like vanilla.

The first post of this thread stated nothing about centerfire only......Duh.

.22 Hornet and .338Win Mag would take care of everything in North America and the hornet loaded subsonic with cast bullets would be great for when you are starving and all you can find is sparrows and starlings!!!
