I have read that if you pull the trigger too fast on a semi auto shotgun, the hammer can follow the bolt down, and it will not fire. Can this happen with semi auto rifles as well? Such as the M1 Garand, Mini 14, M14, AR, AK, etc? Thanks!

Never happened to me for over 25 years I've been shooting this platform! I tried in the past to 'double' or even 'sweet spot' the trigger like a paintball marker, no dice.... So I guess that proves that the disconnector is working fine, eh?

Now, I have encountered bubba'ed trigger groups with filed  , not stoned hammer hooks and they doubled  on me at the range while testing the trigger group. Moral of the story: Send your trigger group to M14doctor (who does this operation LOTS) if you want a lighter trigger pull. I deliberately discourage anybody from stoning their own hammer hooks at my clinics. f:P:

Cheers,
Barney
