buy a set of 35 Remington dies, run your 303 brass through the full length sizing die and trim to 1.920, you end up with a rimmed 35 Remington and the P14 bolt is going to work just fine. There are a few other options, albeit limited and the 35 rem will fill a void you didn't even know you had
Had a P17 in 333OKH in the gun store once on consignment that nobody showed interest in so the guy wanted the gunsmith to make it a 30-06 . Gunsmith told him that it was that once in it's life already owner had no idea of that.

You did a dangerous thing! I had to go look at 35 Remington and 303 British. I see exactly what you have in mind. The case would look like a straight wall 303 up to the current shoulder, with a short neck behind that for a .384 cal bullet. The receiver and bolt "ought" to be no problems, but what about the bore diameter?
Sounds like an interesting possibility for a Ross sporter. Ream the chamber with a .35 Remington reamer, load cartridges with .35 Remington dies. .35 and .303 base diameters are essentially the same. Catch is finding a suitable .35 barrel without buying a $500 custom blank.
Provided the bore on the '14 was good to begin with, Century Arms, and probably others..., reamed some of their barreled actions to 308 Norma mag, then neck reamed and throated accordingly to get basically, a .311 Norma Mag. I had one of these in a sporter with custom stock I picked up in a deal a long while ago. Traded it off as it was just a bit too odd for me.

My first serious big game rifle was a rebarreled Model 1917 and sporting a P'14 bolt. Chambered in .300 Win Mag it was exceptionally reliable. The only thing I didn't like about it was the enclosed box magazine could be a bear to load and empty.
338-303. Ken waters built one to save a rifle he liked. Ballistically the same as the 333 Jeffries. - dan

I thought I heavy barreled 7.62x54R and just see how well it would shoot surplus. I've had some decent mosins but they heat up and wander to fast.

At least what I discovered - not finding many folks able or knowledgeable to do those "square threads" on the barrel tenon that is on P13, P14, M1917, Rem 30. Not a "slam dunk" easy to do to swap barrels - have to figure a way to get those threads cut. Is a "project" underway here, now.
I would suspect anyone with the tooling and know-how to make those "square threads" could very easily open up the bolt face to whatever is needed, and modify the extractor as desired. Leaves fitting or making a suitable magazine box, feeding, etc. I sort of "cheated" - this one is chambered for a cartridge based off the 375 H&H belted case head - so the standard 303 British P14 bolt face appears to work fine, without alteration. There are two "sporterized" P14 receivers here - both are Mark I - both have had the rear sight ears milled off - one is drilled and tapped for scope bases - the other is not. I am not completely certain about the extractors - to be seen if that works well or not - I have to wait for the chamber reamer to show up - is "short chambered", as is.
