...where did you find it later?
I can't for the life of me find out where I put a buttpad. Checked in the work area, next to the fridge (maybe I put it down there when I grabbed a snack?), bedroom, etc.
I would swear the last thing I did was put it back in the box, but it's not there...
Where have you lost parts only to find them later?
 
You have to get serious and pray to St. Anthony of Pedua, the saint who is the finder of lost things. Don't laugh too hard, it worked for me twice. Last fall I lost a mainspring for one of my vintage Mossberg semi-auto's. I looked everywhere for months and couldn't find it. The gun was useless without it. Then a couple of friends told me to pray to St. Anthony of Pedua. I laughed it off and said, yeah, right. I had never even heard of this dude. Finally in despiration, you guessed it. I prayed to St. Anthony of Pedua and believe it or not, I found the spring 2 days later.
Just recently, I misplaced documention to a vehicle I was selling. Again, I looked everywhere. So again, I called upon St. Anthony. I found the documention an hour later.
Just sayin--if you get desperate. It worked for me and I'm not even a church goer.

Did you check IN the fridge...? My wife has been guilty of heading for a snack during commercials and leaving the remote on the shelf in the fridge...
 
I have found a few things in the garbage can.
Compliments of my wife.
The latest is the pup sneaking things off.
She watches and grabs whatever I seem to put down.
Then the keep away begins.

I am good at that as well, except in the freezer when chasing down another handful of Freezies. If the remote gets lost, freezer is the first place checked in my house.

Did you put it in a sandwich? Could be gone forever if ya did that!!!

Seriously though, we all misplace stuff. I usually sit down & clear my head & think about where I put it! I stopped praying last December, so I can't help you there...
