IFAK for hunting

I just carry a BFG Micro TKN with a tourniquet on it. The content of it is the following:
-1 israeli bandage
-1 combat gauze
-some regular gauze
-nitrile gloves
-medical tape
I usually have a second tourniquet and oales bandage in another pocket and we have a bigger kit whatever vehicle we are using and at the camp. Both contain similar stuff and more + the regular first aid kit stuff (bandaid and other)
Get training if you can, while you don’t need training to apply a bandage, applying effectively is better. Same thing for TQ, a wrongly applied TQ can be worst than no TQ in some case.

First question yes. Second, one tourniquet (in an easy to reach spot) and a 1-2 pers first aid kit. Third, I've taken several courses (FA and advanced) and believe EVERYONE should take a FA course at least once.

Yes. Sort of at least. I keep the "normal" stuff in my pack, band aids, a tensor wrap, some gauze (roll and pads), polysporin, disinfectant wipes... Should really add a tourniquet to the kit though. I also carry a more complete kit in my truck.
Haven't taken any training in a while but in the past have taken standard first aid and emergency first aid.

Yeah I’ve always carried some kind of first aid kit but after I started working in the bush I carry a better one, have had some basic FA training years ago. Have my kit on my belt reachable by both hands and a second tourniquet in a side leg pocket, I tend to hunt alone and I am very mindful of what I’m doing as there is nobody to help me or minimal cell service usually if I get hurt.
Contents include a tq, clotting agent, combat gauze, compression bandages, vet wrap, scissors, small first aid kit with bandaids, wipes, medical tape etc, Nitrile gloves, silver emergency blanket.

I went and got an IFAK from S&J hardware this year and have started carrying it. Just seems like a good idea. I have to do a standard and emergency first aid course through work every three years, so I'm always more or less up to date.
Yes, mostly stuff for the dogs tho lol. I'm putting a second together to stay on my vest instead of whoever has the dogs takes it. Benedryl, added to the standard pressure bandages, tourniquets, forceps, tweezers sterri strips, super glue etc. I throw a couple havalon blades in there also, I always have one of them on me. I've had to use it in the past to remove a deep metal sliver in my finger. Not the best way but it was just far enough that it wasn't sticking out. We do first aid training at work.
There's a lot we "fix up" that should probably be done in town but pretty much by the time you get from some of our fishing/hunting spots and out to town your not getting stitches.

I prefer would closure strips myself (Butterfly bandages, steri-strips etc). Although glue is infinitely useful! I wouldn’t bother with a suture kit in the field and would save that for when I got to the doc after I patched myself up in the field.

I could have used a cold pack yesterday....was clearing some brush and as I was sawing through a 5 " poplar with my Silky Katana saw....I lost my balance and kinda fell towards the tree just as saw went through...well there was some "spring" in the other end and I got wapphed
...bloody nose....busted lip....and whole lot of swell....front of my head still hurts...ice pack for 20 minutes would have been a joy ...
