Hey everyone,

Just bought this new from Wholesale Sports today.

Considering the price of these guns I am impressed with the Fit, Finish and Quality overall. The Walnut stock is nice with good checkering. The Bluing is Decent to good. Mechanically it is extremely tight, no movement in anything that shouldnt be.

Its only in .410 I know!, but I love .410's, they are a hoot to shoot. I was planning on one in 12 gauge but all the ones they had were only single Trigger guns, that was a no go for me, the .410 was the only SxS with dual triggers so she won me over!.

I also like how light and manuverable the .410 model is, its quite small overall, I like small short guns in general. I'm sure my tiny Girlfriend will enjoy shooting her as well.

This is the the most excited I'v been ever with a purchase for some reason?.... and I'v owned alot of guns. Who knows eh, as long as I'm happy about it. There just seems to be something nostalgic about compact double barrel guns with me.

Who else here has them, do you like them as much as me so far?.

I got one for my daughter many years ago. She loved it, and shot a lot of partridge with it, now I take it out frequently. After about 15 years it is still in new condition, and waiting for the grand childern to take up hunting with it.

It has shown to be well made and reliable, and it is perfect for small folks to be able handle safely.Hamerless is a good thing for small hands. The IC and MOD chokes make it good for close shots. I wish I had one in 20GA.

Well that sounds promising. All of the reviews I'v read online all say its very reliable and has a long life span. For $400.00 I can't complain.

I wonder what kind of unwanted stresses it may put on the gun firing both barrels. Some say you can crack the stocks ect. or put unwanted stress on the barrel seams.

The recoil on .410's is so light however I couldnt see it doing much to the stock.
 
I had one in 12 gauge. Great little gun. I found it to shoulder really well. It quickly became my go to shotgun. I sold it, and shouldn't have. (I have a Baikal now with mock external hammers, they are cocking levers for the internal hammers)

Side by side .410's have a cool factor to them.
I have an older one in the 311H.
Double triggers and the new hunters are fun to watch shoot grouse.
How do I make it shoot twice????
Maybe use the second trigger?

Yeah I think the next shotgun I'll buy will be a coach gun in 20 or possibly 12 gauge with external functional hammers.

I was originally going to go with the outlaw but I don't like all the complaints I hear. I can deal with 20" barrels when the gun is a good solid piece.

I'd reccomend an 1878 from the site I gave you. I was thinking again this week about getting one from there, but I can't afford it unless I get rid of a few guns:( That 410 should be a real blast until your next purchase!

Yeah I can't afford one right now either unfortunately. Those SxS's are very old school, I like that.

The 1878 in USA finish with 20" BBL's is likely what I'll get eventually. Pricey, but like you said a Canadian Life time warranty goes a long ways, plus the quality looks nice.

I'll be sure to let ya know when I get one.

Lol yes I was grinning the whole day, as for the pistol grip.... iv been thinking about that ever since I took her home.

I'll think on it some more, this gun was never purchased for a hunting gun, strictly entertainment/home defense boom stick.

It would deffinatly look pretty sweet.

Ideally I'd like to find another buttstock for it and cut that one, keep the original for sporting use.

Firing both barrels in a 410 wouldn't harm the gun. In a 12 gauge or a 20 gauge, it is a different story. I screwed up the firing pin springs in mine. The heavy recoil stretches out the firing pin spring so then the firing pin won't retract back and actually stays extended in the fired primer so breaking open the breech is very tough.

Interesting and unfortunate, thanks for the feedback. I never thought that would have been an issue.
 
Something about your video makes me really want a shortened Cooey single shot in 410 to play with. Dad's got one, but I don't think it would go over well if I mowed it off. While not as cheap as 12, 410 is a fun gauge to play with!
