Hey guys, I've been thinking of picking up a spare non-ported barrel for my Glock 17C. Narrowed it down to two options. Factory Glock barrel or IGB barrel. Most obvious is the price difference, $180 for factory Glock barrel and $270 for the IGB barrel. Are there any advantages/disadvantages choosing one over the other? Is the IGB barrel a match barrel? Anyone have any experience with the IGB barrels?

Igb barrels can shoot cast and also has a fully supported so there very gentle on brass. I have a igb and a storm lake barrel for my glock 30 and hands down the igb barrel is far superior in every way. But with all that being said if you not reloading just get a factory barrel.

Actually had my eye on Nestor's factory Glock barrel too! But got intrigued by IGB's standard rifling and plasma treated coating. Anyone know if they are match barrels?

they are not match barrels per say, and you can order them with or without fully supported chamber, so know before you buy..... they will be more accurate then factory barrels BUT frankly if you can outshoot the inherent accuracy of a factory barrel in a stock gun you should be on the olympic team. there are so many other factors besides the barrel to take into consideration.

spotique in quebec has he igb barrels in stock, looked at them last night but wanted SS so ordered a stormlake barrel from questar.... i would buy the barrel from nestor and seriously thought of changing my plan, but the barrel i want is going in SS lonewolf slide, otherwise i would have jumped on it.

again, i have a glock 17 lonewolf slide, so am looking for the exact same as you.... i even thought about buying nestors and having it gold nitrated but not sure how it would work on tenifer finish.
