illuminator game finders

A hunting partner had one last year.We tested it out after we had an elk down and it proved worthless. He never bothered to bring it on this years hunt.

These infrared devices are fine tool for detecting any slight temperature differences out and beyond 500 yards, which could be a mice at few feet to a deer at 500 yards.

However, these fine, but primitive infrared devices are unable to tell what they are detecting, or the range.

I find that these handheld infrared detectors works best on animals in the cool mornings, before the sun heats up rocks and stumps that will give false readings or "clutter".

During the cold autumn hunting season, I have with the help of the infrared detector, managed to follow some animals movement inside the forrest, without seing it, and thus helped me to understand animal behavior better.

Now, I rarily use my infrared detector, since I find that it is easier and more succesful to use my natural senses while hunting.

If they come up with infrared detector, with a screen that shows the infrared image, then we have something
