I'm a beginner, what are the three best guns I should buy?

I'd suggest:

1) Ruger American rimfire- bolt action 22lr
2) Sks
3) either a Remington 700 in 223, or a pistol caliber carbine in 9mm like the Ruger PCC.
For starter optics you can't go wrong with the Bushnell TRS 25, or the vortex strike eagle low variable powered scope.

Lots of guys may suggest a shotgun, but in my opinion they're not a good first choice because they can have punishing recoil if you don't pick the right ammo, or the right gun to suit you. That's for down the road once you get experience.

Coming from a guy who has gone through at least a hundred guns trying to find what I liked. Once you decide what you like doing, you can branch out from there. Just my worthless nickel.

Having recommended a sks and a pcc, as first guns I'd do one or the other (2nd spot sks or pcc), which opens the 3rd spot for a bolt action center fire as you said, or a shotgun.

A beginner needs marksmanship practice, assuming no prior experience with firearms. Secondly, the OP doesn't state anything about hunting, so in my opinion, a shotgun may not be necessary or desired on their part......for now, at least.

So, here's what I think three important firearms would be:

A nice lever-action .22LR, something accurate and fun to shoot, that trains both eye and hand. Why not choose a Henry?

An accurate out of the box centre-fire bolt action in a smaller calibre. Marksmanship without developing flinch. Why not choose a Remington or Savage heavy-barrel in 223 Rem or maybe 243 Win? Put a good scope and rings on it, don't cheap out or you may end up missing.

Finally, a nice, well-made European high velocity air rifle, such as a Weihrauch. Again, it's a great tool for marksmanship development and for a beginner, you can practice a lot more with low cost pellets as opposed to ammunition.

If you start with these, you'll have three good quality arms that you can build skill with and keep going back to even as you acquire more that pique your interest over time.

I just bought a Ruger American Rimfire and definitely agree it's a great beginner choice. I also have a 9mm PCC (Keltec Sub2k Gen3) that I use a lot at the range so agree with you on that one too.

Im just starting out and the advice ive been given by a more experienced user, was to start with a .22 rifle and/or a 20 gauge shotgun. But I'm also small lol

Given that you're just starting out, and as you're apparently not very big - a semi-auto .22 is not a bad choice. You can put a lot of rounds through it to practice and figure out the basics, without spending a ton of money. I would have suggested something like the GSG16 prior to last week's ban... now, I'm not sure what specific rifle would he best, as I've never really been into .22s and am not sure what is still available.

Bolt-action 22s get boring pretty quickly...

Yeah mostly I'm looking for versatility and experience, as I live on a small farm with my mom. Once I get the hours in, I'd like to maybe do some hunting 🙂

NOTHING RIGHT NOW. another Ban coming shortly. save your cash and wait and see.
You have stepped into a new sport at the WORST possible time.

Quite the opposite - buy EVERYTHING you can right now. We may have a more gun-friendly government a year from now... but if we don't, this may be your last chance to at least buy something.
