I may, in the past, have made some snotty comments about buying Norinco products and the supporting of evil in the Communist Paradise of China...

So, as I eat a healthy slice of crow, I need a question answered:

Where do you get mags for a Norc Commander?

Anything I need to look out for problem wise, or upgrades that are advisable....I just bought one and could use some advice.

Humbly yours,
Foot-in-Mouth

PS: Do I have to get a copy of Mao's Little Red Book now...or am I good to go?

.

Welcome to the 'dark side'.... :p

NAA.

tim up north: You're not alone. I don't think I ever dissed Norcs or the Chinese government. I did say that I wouldn't own one....I just ordered a Police model from Can Am. I figure if NAA owns a few then they must be okay......;) :p

I'm quite sure I'll be eating some crow the first time I take it to the range........

As a shooter, we love guns, respect guns, who care who the #### made them?

You are doing the right thing.

Get more Norinco magazines from Marstar, if they have any in stock. The ones that came with my 1911 work just fine.

I also have some Act-Mags from Wolff. Novak also sells the same thing. These are an otherwise good 8 round magazine, but I find they're only about 98-99% reliable with SWC bullets in my gun.

I have two 1911 mags from Marstar that I don't need anymore. PM me and we'll see if a deal can be made.

As for your conversion - congrats.

The other hypocrites (the morally superior anti-Chicom crew) make heavy use of Chinese goods and are either ignorant of it or in denial.

Anyone find it odd that a pistol designed in 1911 is still being made and by a large number of different manufacturers?
Guess it's hard to improve on a Browning design.;)

The real funny thing is that the great gunsmiths will gladly work on a NORK ,cause it's truly Mil Spec ! And made of good steel, what does that send a message to the Brazzillion Gazzillion cast iron makers?

Bob:)
