Hey!
My name is Joel. I'm a machinist who is very interested in firearms. Why else would I be here?
I find reloading to be very interesting, and am lucky to have a father with a variety of firearms and the means to reload rounds for most of them. Even better, he seems to enjoy answering my seemingly endless questions. There are certain things that can stump us both, of course, and this is where becoming part of Canadian Gun Nutz comes into play. Hopefully I can contribute something to your forum, and find a few answers as well.
Up until today, I owned no firearms. All of my shooting experience has come from cadet rifles, my father's and/or friend's firearms. I was recently given a Pattern 14 Mauser Action .303 British. I believe this is also known as the Enfield No. 3 Mark 1. Unfortunately, between my father and I, we have two of these Mauser action rifles and only one bolt. My search for a second bolt is what prompted me to stop lurking and register.
I'm hoping to be able to find one here on the equipment exchange once approved to join that group, though I have heard these rifles are somewhat rare in comparison with most Enfields.
In the meantime, I wanted to introduce myself and say hello. See you on the trails.
Joel
