My questions are this.

Since the garand was originally 30 Caliber (30-06) and I've seen pictures of them chambered in 308 Winchester, is the action actually shorter for the 308?

I'm interested ONLY in one of the following Springfield (which is the original and probably the best for looks and maybe fit) were also made by
International Harvester, Winchester, and I believe BREDA?

Your opinions please NOTE: NORINCO or other overseas duplicate wannabes are out....

The action is the same and a spacer block and new barrel are used to do the conversion. Same receivers, same enblocs.

I merely screw on a Krieger (Douglas will work also) .308 barrel and I'm good to go! No joking. No other mods needed to make it run. I love my .308 Breda M1 Garand.

Go for it!!
