I'm Dreaming of a 10mm Bolt Action Carbine...

I know it's not quite what you're asking Cam but have you thought of rebarrelling a lever gun? A Marlin 1894 with a short barrel could be made into a light, fast and reliable bush gun...

Obviously lacks the convince of mags though...
 
I found the fellow in the states that converts lever carbines to 10mm.

I do like the idea especially if they are takedowns but they are out of the price range I could justify for this kind of a gun.

I'd stick with my 18" barreled T/C Contender carbine for plinking and close in hunting.

If I remember correctly I get 2050fps with my 135gr Nosler/800X loads out of this combo this combo is light and very easy to pack.
