Just get a .270 and be done with it.

Just kidding ........ If I could only have one, it would be a .280.

It would be a 700 action with a good bbl in a Bansner High Tech with a VXIII 2.5x8.

.

IIRC you had one and sold it? shame on you...;)

Forget the .280 and buy Amphibious' .338-06 before he comes to his senses and keeps it.:shotgun:

go with the 7MM express, it just sounds way cooler:D:D

rem 700 mountain, trigger swap and topped with a lupy
got one after I shot one and wouldn't give it up:D

Get a remington m700 titanium, throw away the stock and barrel, get everything ported and polished, balanced and blueprinted, tweeked and massaged, throw on a premium match grade featherweight barrel chambered to 280 AI and add an aftermarket lightweight stock, top it off with talleys and a leupold.

Presto, ultimate rifle for a small cost, well ummmm eeeerrrrr maybe a little bit of money:runaway:

I'll let you know how it is when it gets here:wave:

280 mtn rifle is a good compromise:)

Bunch of 700 lovers round here. My 280 is a ruger 77 all weather, and i love it! The 320 yd doe i dropped last year hated it, same with the 220 yd antelope and the 340 yd coyote, but hey, i like it and thats what matters. Proof in the pudding, i suppose is what they say (and thats what the vitals looked like when the 140 gr b-tip/accubond was thru) good choice in caliber, i love mine, if you couldnt tell

280's are inherantly accurate cartridges that give slightly better performance than the 270 Win... :p

In other words it doesn't really matter what rifle you get you will most likely get an excellent performer and be very happy...
