Im having problems with my Trac-Locs

Anyone else ran into problems trying to adjust their rear sight when attached?the little slider doo-hicky that the allen bolt in the sight aperature screws into is bottoming out on the inside of the sight base, inhibiting adjustment. I can get them adjusted by loosening the two other bolts that hold down the sight base but then there is a small gap between the base and the reciever. Am I doing somthing wrong or do I just need to grind down the little slider doohicky? thanks

Can't you just remove the bolt ( the one that secures the top of the sight to the base) completely if you can't adjust it when it's loose?

You shouldn't have to loosen the base screws....

The problem is the little inner retainer plate is binding, not the piece with the aperature on it.

Slimbo I noticed that also when I was doing the trial fit on the first one I did. Now when I install them for guys I grind the bolt plate down so it won't bind then dip it in cold blue.

I had the same thing - it was preventing me from dropping the elevation far enough. I'm gonna try to grind the plate down as well...
