Shot my first round of "trap" tonite. :D

Did 3 rounds at the local club, what a blast!

Shot 9/25 first round then 12/25 and 12/25. :D Hit 5/5 at the 2 Post twice! lol

Weapon is a HP9 14" Barrel no choke. :)

Looking forward to Wednesday nights now!
 
The madness begins!! LOL Next you'll be shooting skeet, sporting clays and buying shotguns & various chokes and ammo by the skid!Seriously,the shotgun sports are a lot of fun.It is addictive though. Enjoy. Cheers Bac4
 
Strathmore. Boy its amazing how much you learn just by watching some guys who know what they are doing! I know for a fact i would have hit more if I had a choke of some kind, esp the ones from the 27yd line :)
 
I started with an 18" cylinder Remington 870. Then because I wanted more choke I went looking for a longer barrel. Couldn't find one and bought another 870 instead.

Then I had a tax refund that went on a BT99 Plus.

Then someone took me to shoot sporting clays and a Remington 11/87 Sporting Clays was next.

Then a Beretta 682

And so on and so on....

Don't say we didn't warn you if it happens to you. :D
 
Ya, i was thinking about finding a longer barrel for the 'rinco.

What would be a better choice 26" or 28" or 30" barrel?

Would probably want a imporoved choke?
 
Whatever barrel length feels good to you should do the trick.I would however purchase one with choke tubes.Then you can choose whatever constriction suits your needs.(Generally tighter choke for trap,skeet or ic choke for skeet).

I thought I knew all the clubs in the area. Maybe they resurected the old club in Wheatland county. It was really active about 15 years ago. Let us know the location please.
