So,was really looking at the Beretta M9 A3....but
one of the site vendors here had a 92FS for a fantastic price, and it has a new home..
This one has the plastic trigger and guide rod,..is it anything I should be concerned about ?.Yeah..I plan on shooting the crap out of it..Would it be better to replace with metal parts ala Wilson Combat,or no ?

Cheers...R...

Congrats. Replacing those parts won't make any difference really. I replaced them on my inox but for aesthetic reasons. More useful/functional updates were sights and extended mag release.

I stopped buying Beretta's a few years ago as the grip is just not as comfortable to me as the BHP or CZ 75/85 series, but that said the Beretta is still a very nice looking pistol.

Congrats on your purchase.

Congrats on your purchase!

I too bought a 92 Compact Inox from a site sponsor while on sale a month ago and was a bit annoyed by the polymer guide rod, safeties and trigger. At least the black won't wear off as metal would!

I love the ergos of the compact Beretta tho.

I have had and used a CZ 85,BHP,a couple of Glock 17's,and a Smith M&P....what sold me on the Berettas was actually a Girsan Y....it just feels better in my hands, and is as accurate or better..When I win the lottery I'll get an M9 A3.....
