I think if you buy something online at a store that i snot located in BC, you only pay the GST. I do not believe stores in other provinces collect the BC PST.
Please anyone correct me if I am wrong.
As far as I know, unless you are buying in store, you aren't saving anything. If they are shipping to a province other that the one they are in, they have to charge the tax rate of the province they are shipping to - and then they have to remit the taxes.
And just for reference - Tenda is in Onterrible, not Alberta.
You only pay GST if you're buying out of province, so find a retailer that will offer free shipping and you will save quite a bit on your purchases. It's what I typically do.
That's what I'm doing right now, most places seem to charge shipping which negates the savings. Any recommendations?
You actually chose to live in BC. Now you also get to pay.
SFRC has free shipping on certain items, G4C has free shipping on firearms, TNA has a cheap flat shipping rate, Bullseye North does free shipping over $200. There's more, just check the site sponsors.
Bullseye has what I want, less tax, free ship - are they good to go?

G4c is free ship but there is a $27 insurance fee that you can remove but than you've only got $100 insurance. Bullseye doesn't specify how much insurance is included but says it's insured, I'm assuming it's for the whole amount. I'll call them tomorrow to confirm.
YES.. can't go wrong

Bullseye is good to go .... I think you get free shipping over $200 and 1 tax only.
I've purchased from them before .... hassle free!
Great place to live when the lower mainland falls away into the ocean or a sunami
Be even better when the ash swallows West Kelowna ....
