I'm recently new to the hunting scene and have been hunting turkey ducks and geese with an old savage pump. I'm looking at a shotgun that will be suitable for all. So far I'm looking at a winchester sxp waterfowl or a benelli super nova both 12 ga x 3.5" 28" barrel also how important is the camo finish like the grass blades for geese and duck in regards to other camo types like max4 for example???? Any and all advice is very much appreciated. Thank you

Camo stocks came out several years ago. MANY ducks were shot prior to that with wood stocks. Not too important. However, I'll take a plastic/ camo stock for ducks. Impervious to water. The ducks won't care.

I don't want to bash on Benelli but I would steer clear of the Nova. I've seen those jam time and time again. Even had a cocky guy at the rage bragging about his never EVER jamming. Guess what happened 15 mins later.

I've never shot a NOVA, but I've read that the newer version SUPERNOVA is an improved gun, mechanically. I honestly couldn't tell you the mechanical differences, though. Heard that the NOVA is rather loose and clunky.

I've NEVER had an issue with my SuperNova....ever.

Yeah, I'm aware of the two piece thing....In fact, I shimmed mine for cast on, being a lefty! I heard the nova was a rattle trap compared to the SuperNova.....and thought there was maybe mech diffs between the two. Mine is Max-4. Great gun.
