I'm in the market for a 20" barreled hunting rifle...Does Sako offer anything in 308?

I'm in the market for a HANDY 20" barreled hunting rifle (with sights)...Does Sako offer anything in 308?
I prefer stainless and synthetic for low maintenance.

If so, what do you recommend ?

I also own some uber expensive Sako QD rings/bases attached to a very nice Zeiss Conquest 3.5-10x44 scope that I would like to interchange with my Bavarian Carbine.

no stainless .308 with sights, just the bavarian carbine. If you went .30-06, they have the balck bear.

sights can be added to any rifle

Savage Hog Hunter: 20" Medium SR barrel, open sights, oversized bolt handle, accutrigger, blind mag. (damn!), synthetic. Savge Light Weight Hunter,10 P.C.;Lady Hunter, or various Youth models: re-stock as fits you. Most aren't stainless though.

I have a feeling that a Remington 760 in 308 is NOT what you are looking for here, but will offer this nonetheless.

Got this one cut back to 20", trigger tweeked, matching (very cool) white line pad added and scoped with an all steel Lyman rec. sight. It's pretty much THE perfect handy, truck, ATV, bush doggin', rainy day, etc, gun. Handles very well at 20".

The black bear is listed on sako's website as being available in 308. It's in the running for my next gun purchase but in 9.3x62. As long as the extra 1.25 inches and the barrel not being stainless aren't deal breakers for you it seems to meet the criteria.

If you can find it, Remington 700 came in a 20" barrel with sights during 1st production in 1962 and '63. I have one in a 30-06.

I will check out the Black Bear (not sure how I missed that), but seeing that I already have a sweet Bavarian Carbine, I was looking towards something that requires minimal care.
I definitely wan't a Sako product. They have always been above par for me, and I already have the QD rings/bases that I can share with my Bavarian.
