I'm loosing it, bought a Glock

I really do love my 17. Every time I get a new gun, my glock moves to the back of the safe, a month or so later it's front and Center again. It's like my mistress, new wives come and go but she's always there to take care of me.

Yes your ##### didn't fall of.

FOUR pages, and the truth is revealed. :D

ha ha ha ha ha :)

I'm a 1911/ BHP lover... all steel and SA.

But, I do love my G17 since it's my go-to training gun for many clients... LCF (looks cool factor) when I photograph them. All about customer service!

My G17 is the one I carry at sniper and CQB matches, I'm liking it. Don't buy ONE! But buy all of them! So I bought the STI 1911 9mm single stack, the Glock 17 Gen 4 and my SIG P226 9mm.

Cheers,
Barney

I love my Glock 17. Glocks make great handguns and are part of a nice and diverse 9mm collection :)

Is this a quote?

It could be, as long as you understand the context of the sentence. I'm not saying Glocks are difficult to shoot, I'm saying they're difficult to shoot well if your fundamentals suck. You master shooting a Glock well, and everything else is easy peasey.

Well I have been reading Patrick Sweeny's book about Glock. I learned a few things of interest. The Glock has a unique primer strike, kind of like a strike and a side ways drag. My Glock 22 in .40S&W does not like lead bullets, no Glock in .40S&W likes lead bullets, can get leaded in 30 or so rounds, possible due to the rifling. Stock barrels are loose for military usage and bulge the brass so the brass lasts only a short time and should not be used in other guns after a Glock. I guess Glock wants you to not reload, only use factory loads and throw away the brass afterward. What else, if you have a kaboom it is really bad!

I guess I'm looking for an aftermarket match grade .40S&W BBl that will handle lead. I have ordered a 9mm conversion bbl already. I guess I will stop shooting the thing, for sure the lead, till I get a quality bbl. No sense in blowing my hand off! Maybe I should have read the book before I laid down my hard earned money EH!

EDIT: The thing that is weird about this is that people in Europe do not(cannot) reload. Many people in the America's do. Glock knows about the lead problem but will not deal with it as Europe doesn't have the problem. Having had dealings with Europe/German companies in the past you just have to shake your head at their arrogance.

I took out 4 pistols I have in .40S&W and fired them back to back. I only shot jacketed bullets in the Glock though. The Glock bbl was leaded from the 30 or so rounds I had shot before but a bore snake fixed that up. I may have loaded a little hot, I had 180 grain lead round nose and jacketed SWC (jacketed bullet that is nor quite round at the tip) rounds at 1.125 OAL and 5.1 grains of Bullseye. All the pistols shot about the same, the Glock was the worst but not awful, not noticable noisy either. The 610 S&W is by far the best than the 1911 best semi. I have a Ruger P94 and it was good as well. I have purchased a 40 to 9mm conversion bbl for the Glock and also a Lone Wolf Glock 22 .40S&W bbl for the Glock so this should fix things up some. The stock Glock bulged the brass to the point it would not fit in the S&W after. I guess it makes sense, buy a Glock and than spend $500 on barrels to make it work right. Looking forward to getting a good bbl in the Glock. Of the pistols I own I can honestly say this is the first time I have spent money on major fix-up on a new gun. Glock = Perfection sounds about right to me, not!

At least you only bought a Glock for your first Tupperware gun.
One day you may just get over it.
I bought an HK and am now hooked on buying more.

Congrats on the purchase.
