This will mark the milestone of the 100th round of .270 Winchester I have loaded since I started reloading last January. My first 20 rounds took me 4hrs to load. This tray of 50 loads took me 5hrs so I'm getting 10 rounds per hour. Still slow in compared to what people tell me they can do 20 rounds in 30 minutes but I'm getting a lot faster.

I got my first deer last year but with a factory loaded Winchester .270. I'm hoping to, blow my first load, on a deer this hunting season. ;)

Oh and my load is 43.5gr of IMR 4064 with Speer 130gr BTSP. People my scratch their heads at why I picked 4064 since that load is only running at 2700fps but it was the only gun powder I was lucky enough to get and as many people have told me, including the loading manual, accuracy trumps velocity and this load is half and inch every time.

Great Job!!
To me it's a hobby I enjoy doing and I don't want to blow myself up so I take my time lol
I'm also ready and here are my new loads. 250 grain Barnes TTSX on top of 70.5gr of IMR4895. At the range when I sighted them in I was getting ~1.25" @ 100 yards which is A.O.K for me!

Who cares? So long as you are having fun at the bench, safely, it's all good ;D
Worry about getting good, getting fast is way down the list.
If all of them go into the same hole, it doesn't matter how long they took to make.
I'm halfway convinced that half the steps we take fiddling around at the bench are just an excuse to get away from it all and play mad scientist.

Not even going out so yup I'm ready lol. Even if I was to head out to hunt I'll be using these

Hey mate, 4064 is similar to the AR2208 I use I believe, which is Called Varget over there.... My loads are 45gr with 130gr Projies an I estimate around 2850FPS through my M700..... Its IMO perfect for Deer , all species down under don't complain!

Taknig things slow with Reloading isn't a bad thing, I enjoy making sure every round is as it should be... I do around 20-40 at a time but do need to do 100 an be done with it.

Happy hunting

I'm working on my loads for my .30-06 using a 150gr Hornady SST and testing it over Varget and H4350. Don't worry about the speed at which you reload, all that matters is that you come home with all the body parts that you went out with. If my brass is already primed, I can generally load a tray of 50 in about an hour, but I just have a routine/groove that I get into. When I first started, I was wwaaaayyyy slower.

I find after you have been reloading for awhile the only way to increase your speed is to buy "faster" tools/equipment.

maybe a power trimmer/chamfer tool or a powder measure

the tool that helped me go a lot faster was a powder measure, I set it up to throw a charge about .2gr less than I need then tricle the rest into my rcbs beam scale
