Im stumped , I need a fresh idea (1022) pics of 22 mag

Ive been trying to figure out why my trigger (s) are failing to reset . one is a vq that i have now completey removed the pre travel screw , the other a factory . i have tried changing out my chamfered bolt for a stock. no the screws for the scope arent to long , yes the hammer strut c clip is the right way ( the vq has none ) . anyone have any ideas ?? maybe stock interfence , reciever worn out ? but some postive news my 1022 magnum 17 hmr is done heres a pic

Sorry I have no ideas... But i do like the gun in the pic... I'm considering a stock like that for my 10/22 but that will still be a little while off. Looks awesome!!
 
2 different trigger assemblys and two different bolts any combination of the two = same problem . one bolt is brand new. its almost like it cycles to fast for sear to grab
 
Is it cycling ammo OK? Perhaps the recoil spring is too stiff for the lighter .17 bullet compared to the .22 mag and the bolt isn't traveling fully to the rear?

I've seen, when putting on ButlerCreek folding stocks, the trigger pivot pin can work its way out a tiny little bit and the trigger won't reset. The stock doesn't hold it tight enough there. Have to make a little longer pin out of drill rod.

Maybe check that.
 
Are you in Edmonton. I used to do lots of Volquartson triggers and usually figure them out. If you can leave it with me for a few days I will look at it and it is usally something simple to fix. Phil.

Yah sure lure me back into my favorite store :D I don't know if my wallet can handle another visit this month . I've been trying to diagnose this problem a while, it's not a problem with the trigger , a stock trigger will do the same . It's like the bolt needs to ride lower in the receiver or the trigger group has to come up , seems like the bolt needs a couple MM more to fully reset the trigger . Myself and another member spent a couple hours swapping parts . I think the next move will be a different receiver . Thank you for your offer . P&D has always been great to me .
