its a Galil .308 mag
Ak Mag
It is either a Valmet or Galil Mag in .308
It is not the traditional Valmet 308 mag for the Hunter/M76
Might be for the M78 - but not what I would think it should look like - the sides at the top should be built up and widened out for it to be M78.
That is why I say Galil.

gunplummber is right, it is a Galil 308 magazine. Actually, it is an M14 magazine that was factory modified in Isreal to be used in the Galil 308. It will also fit in an M78, will be a bit tight and will also hold the bolt open after the last shot (well, untill the mag is released, then the bolt comes crashing forward).
