I'm thinking about painting my Marlin 1895.

I figure it's your gun. Do whatever you want with it.

I have a well used Ruger #1 thats going to get Cera-Koted. I'm sure plenty of single shot traditionalists are cringing as well.

I think the lever action guys and the single shot falling block guys are both pureist groups.

I wanna parkerize my Marlin to look like this:

And because I'm a mirror kommando, I like the glass stocks on the Marlins  I know, I know, since we are pushing each others' "Marlin" buttons on this thread; Why NOT? :D

Cheers,
Barney

The FUDD is strong in me I guess. I was raised to appreciate a nice piece of workmanship and the stuff people do to them later on seldom improves them. Old Fart Logic but it works for me. Flames on a car fender with a nice candy apple flake job I can appreciate but a green gun turns my wallet off completely.
Let the FUDD be with you!!

:)I'm right there with you.

I painted a Win. 94 carbine (1971) camo. because it was very badly pitted from
the previous owner who did not look after it.
All my friends who have seen it ,,,,,, hate it!!!!
Works on turkey guns but not rifles.
