Zero-interest in changing them...I collect and enjoy them for the nostalgia of what they are. Well, I'd pull the mag pins, but thats true for all my guns.
For the Sks I’d say the two biggest improvements I’d make would be tighter stock/receiver fit and smooth out the trigger, both of these things would improve accuracy. A factory optic mount would be a nice option as well, a small solid rail to run a red dot or smaller low power optic.
I only find gritty triggers on my Russian SKS, the Chinese triggers are better. Same for the stocks, yes I know the wood is higher quality on the Russian SKS but the Chinese have a tighter fit.
Tyle 81 folder changes:
- Galil-type rear sight at the rear of a more solid receiver cover (front sight can stay where it is)
- Galil-type folding stock
- Galil-style charging handle
- Threaded barrel with an effective flash hide
- 90-degree ambi safety instead of the existing 180-degree safety
Can anyone guess that I like the Galil platform![]()
ditch the dead weight GL and thread the muzzle.
