IMI UZI / 320 Norinco UZI

I like how almost everyone makes fun of the guy for asking a question of where to buy a particular gun. His question is normal, the answers given and the reasons why he can't legally own one are not. Just the simple fact that they are "prohib by law" should anger us all into doing something. But I guess because it happened back in 92 (as someone pointed out) we all just accept it as normal. When all the semi's and handguns are taken away in 2011/12, someone down the line in 2025 will ask "where can I get an AR, I heard they were interesting back in the day"? and people will just tell him he's crazy, that he should know that he is too irresponsible to own one (somehow its HIS fault) and it will all be O.K. with the people of that time then that no one can have a handgun or semi. This is what the Anti's hope for, that we become complacent in their stupidity.

I think Prestwich point is not ness helping the guy, as it is the laws that are in place and our complacentcy towards them. (I know my spelling sux, Im a gun tote'n red neck, not a fancy politician)

Example: Why is a Benelli M3 or a SVD Prohib
And a Fabarm and M14 are non res?

Mostly because the laws were made by the uneducated.

So the real question.... why aren't the "educated" (Responsible gun owners) helping teach people that these laws are silly?

(Which now pushes this completly off topic and into a new forum) :)

So, back on topic..... You cant get a UZI, but there are many other firearms that do the exact same thing that you can get your hands on...... ppl here have already listed a few off.

Or one of those skorpion (if you can find one.)

Ok, but seriously, Ill assume the Original Poster has the paperwork to purchase an Uzi and this was a valid question. (which it is) Although its probably Waaay easier to join a gang and get one, or steal a delorian and head into a lightning storm...

Last time I was at Target Sports in Gormley they had one in their prohib cabinet. Not the small Uzi, the big UGLY uzi. Call them up and ask if its still for sale, dont forget to ask how come they dont update their inventory so people across Canada can shop online too ;)

If he do indeed got all the paperwork in order to obtain the Uzi he should already know what "Prohibited By Name" means, which he clearly didn't .......

good point...Ill shut up now

as for the delorian and the lighning storm as another person pointed out, dont forget to go really really fast...

OP guy, in addition to having laws restricting mag capacity, length of weapon, length of barrel, etc theyve also more recently (relatively) been banning guns by name. If it looks "evil" its likely to have been added or eventually get added to the "prohibited by name" list. Id say google "orders in council" but it looks like the police (RCMP) are tring to make their own gun bans/laws now ignoring parliament all together.

The AR15 is still restriced (not prohibited) but the AK 47 and guns based on its action are prohibited....I would love to have a Dragunov rifle for hunting, for intance, but cant as its prohibited by name dispite its long length and pretty much normal hunting gun appearance.

I used to thought about joining RCMP but I'm glad I didn't after I learned that they're so oppressive on fellow gun owners like the Titans (if you like the Gundam franchises you should know what I'm talking about )......

Not exactly true, the Valmet Model 78 and Hunter(in .308Win) are the only Kalashnikov breed that are NOT Prohibited(they are non-restricted BTW). Unfortunately they are long gone out of production.......

Speaking of which, why no one EVER talks about to purchase the tooling and blueprints from SAKO(which acquires Valmet) to built the Model 78s right here?

Good luck on that...Beretta destoyed a bunch of stuff when they bought Sako as they had no interest in the Finnish black rifles at the time.

Yep ;)

We need to get the pressure on them to make some semi RPD's too. :)

Sorry. Ain't gonna happen. The Valmet's are allowed by name. You can't "make" Valmet's unless you own the Company trademark "Valmet". Somehow I doubt they would allow it.

Oh well..... hope Beretta/SAKO will let the "name" go to serve a better purpose and some of us are rich enough to brought both the "Valmet" and the tooling/blueprints......

Shot a 9mm and a 45acp one waaaaay back in the day. I liked it...Mind you I was a young kid. I would buy one even if they were avalible.
