I would strongly recommend you reconsider your options for that kind of money you can get into a custom barreled action

Look at Insite Arms they have barreled actions ready to go pick a caliber you like and have them add a KRG Bravo and trigger of your choice

Give them a call and tell them what you want to do they are easy to talk to and love to shoot

I believe the barrels on Cadex are 24"

We'd definitely be happy to help anyone out with a Cadex, thanks Octogon! Cadex will do 20" in the 308 on special request

LOL, just to clarify, i dont work for Cadex or Go Big Tactical, but this past winter i bought a Cadex rifle for my 50th bday, from Go Big Tactical, the above post was not meant as a plug, but the service i received from Tom and Cadex was Exceptional, for the rifle and scope, i did manage to shoot 3 shot group at 100 yards almost one hole, with my loads that is.
Good luck to you Caramel with whatever rifle you choose to go with, and warranty is for life with Cadex.

Thanks, the weight of the rifle is also important as i will carry it on my motorcycle.

As others have said, I'd do a bit more digging first. Of your 3 choices, I'd say the Cadex would be best. I haven't heard much about the DD but it seems quite over-priced for what it is. I'd never heard of Legendary Arms before but for $3k+ you'll want a nicer chassis than the Magpul Hunter. I'll echo what others have said and talk to Insite about a custom. You should be able to get a rifle built on say a Defiance Tenacity, Big Horn Origin, Kelly's Tactical in a KRG Bravo for about the same $ you're looking at spending and come away with a nicer rifle put together by some of the top smiths in the country. Just a quick look at their site and they have a bunch of barrelled actions on the Kelbly's Atlas Tactical action (a really nice action) for about $2800. Add a KRG Bravo for about $600 and you've got a real nice rifle. Or spend a bit more and get the barrelled action put in a McMillan/Manners/JAE. I know you like nice rifles ;)

Insite is the direction I'd be going on a custom build. Make it exactly what you want it to be.

Out of your list I would only choose the cadex. The other two aren’t worth the money. The best idea for you would be choose an action and have insite arms put a barrel on and choose a nice trigger and throw it in a krg bravo chassis. You would have the most rifle for your money that way. If you won’t want to spend 2000$ for just the action then choose the defiance tenacity or bighorn origin action and you’ll still be better off than the factory rifles you are listing. For 3000-3500$ I would go
That route and second route might be the cadex. Choose a nice medium weight barrel and krg bravo and your weight will be good for carrying too :)

After seeing the DD at Shot, I can't help but think of it as a glorified Sig SHR 970 with a higher cost. I think you can get a lot more for your dime looking at something else.

I don't know what you intend to use this rifle for but if you are into PRS shooting you better think about balance.

A 20 inch barrel (as mentioned above) will have a center of gravity too far to the rear to rest on a barricade.

For PRS I think you are better off with a longer barrel to move the center of gravity far enough forward that the center of gravity is at the back of the for end. Then it will sit where you put it without having to steer it from the rear.

A short barrel can be a little more accurate at close range, but it also generates a lower muzzle velocity which will cost you at long range.
