Imperial Defense M4 clone - Any good?

I am considering buying a used Imperial Defense M4 clone. I believe it is the Model MG4A6 (SA version obviously) but I have to verify this. I did some research and believe they are made in Vietnam. Are they any good?

I looked at these a while back (before the Norcs arrived) and passed on them. At that time I bought a S+W M+P 15 which was a good choice and I now have a Norc which is an excellent choice. So, my advice is to pass on the Imperial and get a Norinco.

absolutely go for a nork instead... literally half the price. I dont know how an Imperial rifle sells for 1500 +

Basically it's a 1500$ Norinco stamped Imperial Defense. Go for a Norinco instead.

I actually emailed IDS regarding location of the manufacturing and assembly of their rifles and was told that it was made from start to finish in the UK.

But Sales reps have been known to BS from time to time
