Imperial Die Wax

I have it but never use it anymore, I found the Hornady spray to be much faster as I spray 10 or 15 cases at a time instead of one by one with the Imperial. Nothing wrong with the Imperial though, it works fine.

Gad, I got lazy the other night and hosed down a bunch of .375 Ruger with Hornady One SHot instead of my usual Imperial choice. It was no time saver as I had to bring out the stuck case removal tool, once again....I've never had more stuck cases than with Hornady One SHot,k and yes, I follow the directions.Especially For .223 it's probably the WORST case lube I've ever used.

Imperial works awesome. RCBS case lube works good too, and works well using a case lube die in a progressive for .223 as well.

Hands down though, Imperial is the best sizing lube that I've ever found, and I've used a number of them.

They must have seen you coming, I get the big cans for ten.:p

I think you are exactly right!
But I was in a gun store 35 miles away, got some other things, they totaled it up and I never even noticed what the price was on it, until I got home, or I wouldn't have taken it.

couple years ago i got a 7.62x51 ivi brass stuck in a die , was using the one shot spray called hornady they sent me 6 tubs of unique to replace the spray i had baught, no issues with the tub stuff, agree the spray is garbage, got a hat as well, lol was suprised of the good customer service i got

I also tried a lot of lubes, before I started using Imperial sizing wax.
The principle reason for me to use sizing wax is the convenience of it. Easy to put on and easier still to remove.
But it is not the best I have used for tough sizing. That honour goes to STP, the type designed to be added to the oil in automotive engines. Put the STP on a sizing pad and give it lots of time, like days, to get evenly in the pad. I put half dozen or so cases on the pad, then give them a short roll with the palm of the hand and they were ready to go, except for the usual cleaning the inside of the necks.
This was the only lube I ever used where it was not necessary to lube every case. You can easily size only every other case in normal full length resizing, with 30-06/243, etc, type cases. Enough lube sticks to the die to do the second case in the normal manner.
One time just to test it, I did four 30-06 cases. I did it, but would not recommend it, but every other one was fine.
The huge draw back to STP is the difficulty in getting all the sticky stuff removed from the finished case.

It goes on the case, or in the die?

I rubbed a bit on the expanding ball, then dab a bit on my finger and rub the case before resizing. I generally re-dab my finger every 5 cases or so or when my finger feels less slick on the brass. As others have said, a little goes a long way.

It works out to be quite quick as I can roll a case in my fingers while I'm operating the press for the case before it.

Imperial lube is great but waxing each case is tedious.
I drop about 100 cases in a tupperware jar, squirt some Lee Sizing Lube and shake the thing for one minute. Done!
