According to a CBC reporter I corresponded with the NS shooter had a NEXUS card. The inquiry released this info 2 days before the handgun ban was introduced. Classic piece of deflection if ever there was one. The fact that a violent person with a firearms prohibition and a known illegal firearms horde was given unfettered access to the US market had, IMHO, a far greater effect on the severity of the event than just about anything else.
The big question is was this just another colossal gov't screw up or did the government give this guy a NEXUS card in order to facilitate a mass casualty event to generate political collateral for more gun control measures? If the latter the implication is that other like minded individuals were also given NEXUS cards. You can't really know whose going to blow a gasket so you'd have to give out multiples to cover all the bases. Do they still have them? How many were given out? Etc.,Etc. Inquiring minds want to know....

German police departments have no problem selling off their old jackets to another country for the public to own. They have no problem with that but you do?

Better ban surplus stores by OIC, most of what they sell was used by a military or police force at one time.
