So Strangeday a couple of things...

1. Where did you find a law firm that was specialized enough to be able to handle your situation? Or was it lawyer specializing in import/export rather than firearms?

2. Are you really gonna comply with that bulls**t? It would seem that you would be giving up a hell of alot of personal privacy for a very expensive paperweight...

?

1. I used a law firm that i am familiar with that specializes in foreign trade and contract law. They do alot of work shipping arms, ammuntion, supplies to IRAQ and AFGANISTAN. Everything shipped to these places is highly scrutinized. Right down to the ingredients in cake mix for troops. This was not a firearms issue believe it or not. It was DFAIT and ITAR.

yeah on number 1 I figured it would be a freight specialist law firm.. hard to find good people. Good news that they got it done for you.

oh i admit, maybe somebody is fighting their own little secret war, but they are acting for themselves and not the good of all of us. So they can bite my ass. i hope their family has to register first to live in the same house as their GL

Sheesh, temper temper. I think you have forgotten that folks out here have nothing against you.. yet you feel you should slap everyone around on this forum.

We're all very sympathetic to your situation, I am still confused as to what you think we let you down with.. that's the only reason for you to be so upset at the rest of us.

If you're looking to gather up some support, you're seriously going about it the wrong way. I am sure this attitude is as a result of being severely harassed, but I for once can say.. I didn't do it!

I certainly would prep my self for some good old government ass raping if I opted to purchase a grenade launcher in a country which is contemplating hand gun bans.

:rolleyes: you know were just talking about fancy metal tubes...its not like we can buy cases of WP or HE ....

I don't think he's looking for support. What Strangeday has done on this issue is far more than anyone else I've heard from.

Lots of opinions from those who didnt fork out the money in legal bills to get some sort of "satisfaction" from the facists that run things...

Pathetic that its even an issue for the few that are in the country...

The restrictions he listed are obscene..I can see why he wants to leave this over taxed ####hole nation of ours....

welcome to a long standing forum issue, pull up a seat and STFU.

:D

Rob is correct

I dont want support, i'm disgusted by the lack of outrage that this issue produced amoungest most of the people who should have been more involved. If the general public had any idea what kind of powers the government is giving themselves they would be burying guns and ammo wholesale in their backyards

I think that's obvious. Everyone has been fighting same issue with the government head on with small legal funds. The ONLY way you can stop them from continue down this road is public awareness. You have to make persuade the journalists and everyone else that guns aren't all that everyone cracked up to be. If the image of gun owners doesn't change, they will continue to strip everyone off their rights until it's totally gone.

I've said this many times and no one seams to care, we should all organize together, create local chapters, create newsletters, gather together for bbqs at the park, create public events at the local ranges and invite other law abiding citizens and the press. We should be doing a lot more positive PR and a lot less #####ing.

This issue is not new, it's been going on for a long time, we've been calling guns firearms to somehow prevent the public from thinking of them as weapons, the story that it's for sporting use has been around for a long time and guess what? No one is buying it. Hence you having issues with 203.

We have to stop compromising, we have to stop all the #####ing and whining and have to put on a thinking cap.

Get a free copy of Front Sights, I think you got to ship it to you. Just watch an hour long talk of what they are doing there and how well its working out for them. Let's copy those guys. I've already extended an invitation for him to expand his work to this country, but being an american i think that will take a while. So let's just organize and copy his tactics.

But for crying out loud, enough #####ing and moaning, time for some positive action and smart maneuvering.

####hole nation of ours? Damn dude. I came to this country 14 years ago and was homeless and didn't speak the language. I started with nothing and now 14 years later I live in my own million dollar home. This country is far from being a ####hole nation and I am sorry you feel this way. This is my new home and if you had the chance to travel the world and see how ugly it can be, you wouldn't be saying this, if you have traveled and still saying same #### then shame on you.

As always, if you don't agree with a situation, country, gf, job, city or whatever bothers you.. change it or improve it!

Like the story goes, there was an old man sitting by a road and a stranger approached him, stranger asked, "how are the people in the next town?" The old man said, "it all depends how were the people in the town you came from?" and stranger replied, "bitter, cheap, angry and annoying" and the old man replied "You're out of luck, people are exactly same in this town"

a day later another strange approached the old man and said "How are the people in the next town?" The old man said, "it all depends on how were the people in the town you came from?" and the strange replied, "helpful, kind and respectful" and the old man replied, "You're in luck, people are just as kind, helpful and respectful in this town"

I might be stating the obvious here but I don't think anyone is ever going to sway public opinion of firearms (and firearm owners) in our favour using a test case about a grenade launcher.

I applaud Strangeday for his efforts but I don't think it would be wise to draw more public attention to his situation. For all we know it might give some people the idea that all firearms should be controlled goods, which would have a lot more chance of happening than seeing those grenade launchers be declassified.

Hell no, I don't it'd take 100 years before anyone can be sympathetic to someone wanting to own a grenade launcher. I was referring to firearms rights in general. Just usual hand gun, rifle usage for every day folks and remove that "oh my gosh, it's a gun" mentality. I definately wasn't talking about PR for grenade launchers.

Just PR for ownership of guns and self protection and how not complicated it really is.
