Hello,
'
I was looking through CZ Customs website the other day and came across a barrel I'm interested in purchasing for my Pre-B CZ85 with .504" bushing.

Expected it to cost some, didn't expect the quoted $250 importations fee and $175 handling fee atop $150 barrel price.

Their email suggested I find someone within Canada to do this but has no suggestions as to whom I could deal with.

SO...does anyone know who in Canada I could contact to order this barrel?

Any leads appreciated, thanks CGN.

Is the problem exporting it, or importing it?

I don't believe that there is any hang up on the canadian side to import it, if it's legal length. It does have to be properly marked though. No idea about the CZ side of things.

* Properly marked - I was talking about the package. But I guess it might equally apply to the barrel itself.

Recently used ###### Armory...... quick communications, friendly, good experience.
For some reason this site won't let me spell A Z T E C H
Just purchased from CZ Custom, Stuart, myself, they ship to A Z T E C H in Arizona, begins its journey to Canada from there !
Marshall at A Z T E C H is on the ball info@a z t e c h a r m o r y.com

probably because this service provider is not a site sponsor and I Run Guns is ........

There's a USG $250 charge for the export permit, which you must have because a barrel is a "significant component", the $150 fee is for the person to do the USDOS paperwork, shipping, customs etc. It's neither cheap, nor easy. At least the Canadian Import Permit is free, it'll just take time to get. Oh yes, and I'm assuming the maker is registered with USDOS as an exporter, if not you can't have it at all.

I paid the import service fee, shipping, all that with exchange obviously, when item hits Canada I pay HST. Did not pay an export permit fee, maybe that only applies if item doesn't go to a FFL dealer ?

It's a CZ barrel, extended length (MADE by CZ). Perfectly legal in Canada with RPAL.
Aragorn1 seems to have provided a good option. Thanks again.
