You can import 1911 grips from Brownells only if the manufacturer is registered with the U.S. Dept. of State (and Brownells has been provided proof from the manufacturer that the manufacturer is registered with the U.S. Dept. of State).

If a manufacturer isn't registered, their (gun parts) products can't be exported, legally - by anybody.

Yep I tried to order the 1911 Lanyard loop and the roll pin for 9.99 from them..........they won't send that either, due to DDTC regulations or something ????

It's a horse shoe nail and a rollpin !!! :jerkit:

I ordered the alumagrips and a frontstrap checkering insert from brownells about a week ago, and they just came yesterday.

Never had a problem getting stuff from them as long as the order is under $100

Smith & Alexander (S&A), for example, isn't registered (AFAIK).

For grips, VZ is, Nighthawk is, Hogue is, Ed Brown is, etc. Navidrex isn't.

For lanyard loops, unfortunately, last time I checked, the only manufacturer options were S&A and Guncrafter...neither of whom were registered.

I'm about to order Grips for my Norc NP34 from Brownwells and some other small parts, when I'm trying to order, shipping shows as TD (to be determinate and I don't like surprises) how much Brownwells charge you for a shipping and handling?

The grips were $55.00, and shipping was $25.00. I got stuck paying another $11.00 on delievery due to customs charges.

Total came to $91.00 shipped, pretty fast shipping on Brownells part.

It was a good buy.

grips4u.net

No issues shipping to CA and both sport some pretty nice stuff.
