These guns where going for around $2250 at the start of the year. Anybody know if they are still available at that price?

UPDATE Process complete.

OK, got my UGB25 today. I ended up just paying HST on the purchase price.
So started on October 19th complete December 10th. 50 days or so. 7 weeks. This is about the fastest it can get done.
Total Money
$2029 gun
$100 import
$130 express shipping
$260 HST
Total $2519

I would say this was about $50 more than going through prophet river but on the flip side it was possibly 2-3weeks faster.

Well it looks like, I'm going to be importing a sporting version from the states. There is a dealer selling them for $2000 and Leroy's will export it for $100. Stoeger will allow me to register the gun in Canada for 3 year factory warranty.
Just need to find a trap version now.

I'll keep this thread alive documenting all the pitfalls and success along the way, if anybody shows any interest otherwise I'll just let it die.

I am surprised that Stoeger is not bringing them into Canada any more. I would like to get another one as a backup but as you, I’m unable to find one. Epps has one left but at the full retail price. They had a couple sporting models at about 2000 but are long gone. This gun wasn’t such a flop if they are completely sold out.

I’d really like to know how it goes for you, maybe I’ll do the same.

Good luck and keep the posts coming

You might check with gun dealer in New Brunswick. they had one one the rack when I was there in july .couldn't tell you what model or the price though.

Leroy sent me an EXT1020 form. Their export info is filled in the rest is to be filled in by me, this is a Cannadian Goverment Form. Foreign affairs and international trade Canada to be exact.

Interested. I've been looking for a Urika 391 trap for a long time, and can't find one. Getting one from the US would be great.
Thread subscribed.
Where/who is Leroy?

Here is the EXT1020 form

Purchase is made, gun is on its way from Michael Murphy and sons, great guys to do business with. The gun will arrive at Leroy next.
So far I'm in for $2029.
$100 for export from Leroy.
Plus S&H no idea yet on that.
Plus whatever duties and tax at the border.
Monday the EXT1020 will be faxed to FAIT Canada.

Very curious about the duties and taxes.
I've made contact with Leroy's as well.

The form is a generic importing form. At some point they need to deal with firearm specific stuff, no?
Or does Leroy's do that for you.
I don't see any place where our PAL info is requested.

Michael Murphy has an a400 parallel trap for sale.

Whoa! Where did you see that? I didn't think the A400 traps had been released yet.

I saw a Teknys 391 Trap, and I have been thinking about buying it, but an A400 might be a better choice...

UPDATE: NVM - I found it. It's a parallel target. That's actually a bit different than a Classic Trap, though probably close enough. But it's a reduced length stock and they don't have a price on it, which probably means they don't have it in hand. Guess I'll have to wait a while.

Sorry about that, I meant to say Parallel Target but have trap on the brain.

Well I faxed in my paperwork to the FEDS now I just wait. Have no Idea how long this part takes, hopefully less then a week but you never know. ;)

For an additional $95 Clay at Prophet River would have taken care of all those details on the importation and physically brought it into Canada. He works with Leroy's to perform this service.

A number of members here, myself included, have used his services and were very pleased.

Glad to see you are going after what you want and not settling for what you maybe able to get in Canada. But I would like to to put my vote forward for Prophet River and their excellent service. Have done an import with them in the past and would do it again in a heart beat. They are great to work with. Thank you Prophet River.

I'll continue to follow this. I found the trap semi-auto I want, and I'd buy in right away, but not knowing how much I will pay in customs, or how long the whole thing will take, is making me hold off on "pulling the trigger" for the purchase.

Gah, Beretta drives me crazy with their umpteen varieties of 12 gauge semi auto.
