Importing a percussion kit

Can you import a percussion muzzleloading rifle kit directly or does it have to go through an Importer.

Order away. Should be no issues at all. Lot of people are ordering parts and even whole guns without any issues.

Might not hurt to be able to back that up though, just in case the border people call.

And for percussion you do need to register it sometime around the time that its able to fire.

Vagrantviking's advice is correct, based on my experience over the past 5 years. You will have to pay shipping and GST. Have it shipped US Parcel Post, if possible.
Registration is required once it can be discharged.

You may have problems due to the designation of modern made percussion muzzleloaders being classed as modern firearms.

If "for example" your kit comes as a assembeled percussion kit and it gets inspected it would be looked at by the law as no different then a sks.

Odd "and absurd" thing is if you imported a ---origional--- percussion arm of the same design......then your good to go

So I can order a nice flintlock rifle kit from Track of the Wolf or anywhere else, and I won't have any of the idiotic hassle with the border? Sweet! I've been drooling over one of those kits forever, but didn't want to try my luck with the paperwork. Thanks guys!
