Importing a pistol from Germany?

From what I understand importing from European countries is way easier than bringing one in from the States. Good luck with that and let us know what steps were necessary.

Try doug at Blue line i think he has them in stock in BC, if not he should be able to get in in for you

I would also like to import a pistol direct from a dealer in Germany.
If anyone has done it themselves or has had a dealer handle it please let me know.

I'll also be calling the CFC on monday, from what I can find it doesn't seem to be to difficult.

I imported a pistol from Italy in the fall. This is what I did or you need to be sure of.

1- The vendor is willing to export the the pistol
2 - The vendor is able to export the pistol
3 - contact DFAIT - tell them you want to import a pistol
4 - Contact the CFO - tell them what you want to register. You will need the serial number of the pistol
5 - Depending on the pistol they may need to create a FRT number for it. You will need to know the barrel length, caliber, number of shots, etc...
6 - pay your taxed when it arrives.
7 - you may need the pistol verified when it arrives into canada.

Its a painless process. Everyone I spoke to was great and helpful.

Good luck and feel free to ask me any questions,

Brian

Ah, the SIGforum. Hello again.
Yes, I need a P210-5LS to add to the collection.
I don't know if you had a chance to have a look at that -1, but that piece is in absolutely mint condition.

I got the pics from Epps. I was hoping that P210 would quietly remain in the used section of Epp's handguns until I could muster the funds to take her home. Your a lucky guy :D

I imported a revolver from England. had to get a permission letter from Sec of State in Canada and England, then it was mailed to me.

Just a bit of paperwork. Took about 2 months, start to finish.
