Importing Alaskan without barrel?

If I remember correctly the SRH/Alaskan barrels are installed in such a way as they cannot be removed with out damaging them.

I would say "no" to you question.

Apparently not easy to remove but some gunsmiths have figured out a way. Apparently there is sealant on the threads.

Yes, I am aware of the problem with barrel removal from SRH, however looks like that this is not the issue with Alaskan.

Call Leroy's Gunworks in Glasgow, MT or Questar. They will guide you through the process.

Not from Ruger. They don't sell frames separately. The Alaskan is just a Super Redhawk with a frame integral prohibited barrel length. Go buy a SRH.
