importing barrels?

this may be a stupid question, but im asking it anyways.
im looking to buy a glock 22 conversion barrel to 9mm. questar has them for 190 or something, and rockyourglock.com has then for 105. i emailed them asking if they can import them, they say they can, but arent responsible for seizures at the border. now is it legal to order from an american company and import the barrel or no? anyone with any experience in this?

The problem is with the USA, not Canada. If you can find barrels from another country (not USA) that will ship to you... go nutz!
 
Import = coming into a country.
Export = leaving a country.
The pistol barrel can be exported from the US by a licenced US exporter who has obtained an export permit for the barrel. To obtain the necessary US export permit, the US exporter must submit a Canadian International Import Certificate, supplied by the Canadian importer, with the application to the US State Department.
Are you obtaining a IIC? If not, the export is likely illegal under US law.
If your US supplier is just going to put the barrel in a box and mail it, they are violating US arms export control law.
If the shipment is flagged on the US side of the line, it will be seized, you will be out your money and barrel, and the shipper may be prosecuted.
If the shipment is not caught, CBSA will be pleased to collect the taxes owing. The risk of seizure is on the US side.

A very simple and accurate answer.

ok u.s laws says that you can not sell any gun parts that total more than $100 U.S to a foreigner. Now two ways around this, 1) use a licensed exporter for the $105.00 barrel. 2) but the barrel for say $ 90.00 and buy a second non- gun item like say a range bag on a seperate invoice and have them mark it up an extra $10.00 to make the difference.
make sense. Canada is not the problem, it's the anal yanks. They want to be the only ones holding the armour for when #### breaks loose.
