Importing Flash suppressors from USA

Wolverine and Questar are distributors so even if they are out of stock, they should be able to get resupplied.

If you buy one in the US, you can bring them into Canada as long as you stay long enough or declare them and pay your GST.

You better hope that US Customs is not doing a check at Export Control while leaving the US that day or you will get to stay in the US for a long time, courtesy of the US government. If you're lucky, they won't keep you, just ban you from ever being able to enter the US again and make you walk home.

WTF? Why would you tell the guy he can bring them into Canada and in the next sentence tell him he'll be getting jail time for following your advice?

US export permits are required for flash hiders, regardless of value, and from what I can gather, most of these permits are not being approved, although a few seem to be squeaking in. Check with the Canadian dealers and if available, buy it from them, anything else is probably asking for trouble.

Looks like Dlask might be infringing Smith's Patent.

US Patent 5596161 - Muzzle flash suppressor
Abstract
A firearm muzzle flash suppressor comprising a cylindrical body for
attachment to the firearm barrel, having a plurality of open-ended helical
flutes angled and offset in the direction of rotation of the exiting
projectile.
