Importing from the US

I looked into befor I the U.S. Air guns are not a firearm so that's not a Problem
You have to have it registered at the border can't see why you can't pre-register befor it get ther

Who do you have to register it with , Canada or the USA . Air rifles are not considered firearms in the USA . Should be able to declare at Canada Customs , show your Pal and good to go . However some Air Rifles are not importable due to supressors ect , so check before hand with CBSA.

I've picked up a RAW TM1000 in NY and driven it across the border. Non-issue for Homeland Security on the way in (told them what I was going to pick up). CBSA looked at it for about 20 minutes before finally just collecting the HST and sending me on my way.

Is Register the proper word?
We no longer have a LGR.
Do you mean inspection and confirmation of a PAL?

When I ordered my PAL springer from Flying Dragons, I sent him a scan of my PAL and he put it in with the shipping label. Got it across the border with no issues.

I'm new to springers. I'm still working on finding a 1 piece scope mount. My 2 piece kept moving on me. I would definitely recommend one. I see on Flying Dragon's site, that they don't do the gas ram anymore.

If it's an air pistol that shoots a projectile with a mv or me over the prescribed legal limit it would have to be registered as a restricted firearm.

I bought a Benjamin Discovery in California and declared it at the Washington/BC border crossing. Guy asked if I had a PAL. I said yes and he said have a nice day. Didn't look at my PAL or the gun.

I'm sure it's not always that easy but the point is there is nothing illegal or problematic about it in anyway.

Air rifles over the 500fps are fine to buy in the US and bring over the border. I asked at Customs last year and since then have brought back two. All they asked at Customs was how many FPS it was and which calibre, and asked for my PAL. I showed it to them, they handed it back and that was that. I expected they'd want to see the air rifles but they didn't. They may randomly want to examine them but they didn't for me either time.

In the US, air guns are akin to toys, anyone over a certain age can usually buy them. In Maine they just require you to be over 16. Not sure about shipping but I'd say that if they included a copy of your PAL or your PAL details in the shipping label there would be no more issue than driving it across the border like I have. I got them in the US because they were much less expensive and had many more varieties to choose from.
