Are there import restrictions on bullet casting molds in Canada ? Last night I ordered some casting equipment from Cabela's in the USA. When I got to the check out I was told the molds, handles and even the Lyman ingot mold was restricted. Has anyone had any luck with any other online dealers ?

I am interested as well. I need some dies and top punches for my lube/sizer and was thinking of ordering direct from Lyman. I didn't see anything specific about shipping to Canada. I was also wondering about shipping and brokerage costs.
I've had my best luck just ordering directly from Lyman, instead of trying to save a buck and losing a year piecing things together from retailers. Its different if what you want is on the shelf or in your hand but it never seems to work out that way.
There are no export restrictions on molds. I've bought over 30 molds in the last couple years and they all came from the US.
Try Buffalo Arms and Natchez Shooter Supply. I've hand cast a bit over 40,000 bullets so far in 2013 and expect to hit 60,000 by year end. I stopped buying Lyman molds because every new mold i've bought lately has been undersized. Their cherries (mold cavity cutting tools) are worn out.
Look at Accurate Molds and Night Owl Enterprises - better quality than Lyman.

Cabala's .ca has nothing. Henry at Budget has little and told me to go to the USA. I did get a Lee 10# furnace and a thermometer for $130 shipped from Cabala's in the States. That's a heck of a deal compared to Canada such as wholesale Sports or Cabala's.ca which has nothing. I just got a reply from Buffalo Arm's that say's they have had no problems shipping to Canada and I have had great service from them in the past. Direct from Lyman is a bit pricey but I have bought sights from them in the recent past and have had good service from them. I'm going to order from Buffalo Arm's. Should be Good or I hope so

Buffalo Arms for my moulds too, great company to deal with, never had a problem with them.
I'll join in with the others who say that there is no restrictions on bullet molds. Most of my bullet casting gear and molds I purchased directly from Lyman, and they were always shipped USPS/Canada Post. I got my Lyman 4500 and various other parts for casting .501 bullets including the mold straight from the Lyman website. It usually took a few weeks for them to ship, but they'll ship.
Thanks guys (gals?) this has been helpful. I am going to try through Canadian Tire in Belleville and see what they can get through their distributor. If it looks like it will be a while or not at all, I will try some of the other suggestions.
"Cabela's ...they aren't licenced to export anything" No license needed for noncontrolled items. Molds are not controlled. BTW that was Midway that got the big fine, not Cabela's.
"licenced" ...if u're gonna defend the Queen's English u should first learn to spell the Queen's English. Otherwise it makes you look silly.
