Importing restricted handgun from the US store timeline?

The best shot we have is that he did this via oic. If we get a minority conservative government...... they could atleast review/reverse it. A bill passed into law..... not a chance they could do a dang thing in a minority parliament.

There is no reason right now that they could not have made a deal with the US state department to block export permits of firearms.... this bill could be law sooner than we think as well. I doubt distributors and dealers are too keen on being hung with inventory (again)

Hello,

I recently ordered off IRunGuns US site after I couldn’t find any handguns I wanted in stock anywhere and on their site it states if you order before the 15th it will be imported into Canada before the next months 15th. However, they also state NFA items take at least 90 days to be released into Canada and on their other page on commonly asked question it is stating 45 days. I am worried since their is the possibility of a handgun transfer/import freeze happening soon. Can anyone tell me their timeline of how long it took for their restricted handgun to show up to their door upon ordering?

Thanks for your time everyone. Looking forward to hearing some of your guys answers.

I pistol isn't an NFA item.

What the hell you yapping about ? That was what I was told by IRG when I talked to Arizona this morning at 10 am !! If they can’t figure out what their policy is I wasted a phone call down to them about a restricted handgun you moron !! ( Super Gun Moron )

Sometimes it's better to let people think you're an idiot than to prove them right.

still the libs like to ignore due process when they can, so an official position from irg would be great so everyone can be clear.

i spoke to them on friday over the phone. they said there's a 25% restocking fee as it is a lot of work getting the paperwork across on the united states side.
They also can't initiate a transfer until the gun reaches canada. Unless something changes, that's what I was told.

I am about to put a few through as well and I don't know what to do lol..... the rumored June 7 to stopping all transfers..... I don't know if i should wait for tuesday....but even if it's tuesday... we can still make it for the June 15 deadline.

Given this information, I think that's the smart game plan. I keep checking national stock in the hope that something becomes available, but everything is moving so fast. I'm torn myself, buy now and risk the 25% loss, or wait and risk it going out of stock. Is the juice worth the squeeze...

Missed out on a couple of local deals and I'm in the same position. reeeeeally don't want to take a 25% hit on multiple pieces, but they are the only place with certain items in stock that I've been eyeing up, and with the stock moving so quickly it's a tough gamble... Decisions decisions.

Spoke to a nice lady from the US site last Thursday. She said they have been directed by the RCMP NOT to initiate anymore restricted transfers due to the impending legislation.

I would love to see proof of this!

The RCMP think they make laws, they don't. Their supposed to enforce laws, not make them!.......:)

The RCMP better clean up their act in this country.

As a former Police Officer, I can only be disgusted at these cops who break the law.

The police are not above the law, they do not make laws either.

So no, the RCMP can't make up their own rules as they go!.....:(

I believe the stunt these two clowns pulled off is called a home invasion!......:(

Very minor(not home invasion type stuff) but in BC you must have winter tires in the mountains. Signs all over M+S or mountain snowflake symbol. RCMP were on the news saying must be mountain snowflake. Tire guy tells me the RCMP were in the shop telling him and his staff "must be mountain snowflake". I had to tell him look at the damn signs online and on the highways!!! Ticked me off.
Nothing like that story, but attitude!!

"Why don't you tell your daughter is just the police". RCMP not giving a damn because there is no consequence.

Oh yeah that rcmp home entry is disgusting. The fact they were in there daughters room like that.... that's seriously disturbing.

On a side note has anyone else had there credit card jacked after recently purchase from irun guns? I wish they would have an emt payment option, I think this is the second time after purchase from this vendor my card has been compromised/false charges.

Never had an issue with IRG, always top notch service, and never any issues with my cc information getting compromised.
