Importing upper from USA

What do I need to ship an AR upper from USA to Canada? I know what I need from the USA side what about Canada? Do I need an import permit?

Please take a look in the Legalese thread. You need an import permit(Canadian govt) and an export permit (US govt) the problem is the export permit, lots of paperwork.

My limited experience says the process looks like this...

Contact Dfait get an IIC
send it to your shipper who should have an export licenese they will use the IIC to get an Export permit...
You'll may need an end user certificate to get the export permit as well..

They ship, your broker will put the papers together and verify your clearence to export, and will charge you the taxes...

Good luck and call Mark@Questar will take less time ... He gets permits Quicker then the normal two months....
