Yes IIRC. Though they are not a perfect clone I believe as they don't have the interrupted threads on the barrel.

It actually does have interrupted threads, I assume you mean the action threads at the breech. I used to own an old ithica 37 featherlight and the only differences i see is that the old 37 only had 1 action bar where the Stevens has dual, and the safety is unnecessarily much larger on the Stevens than the 37. And... also the Stevens wont slamfire like the 37.

I was actually going to buy the ghost ring model but this is the only one they had in stock. Im actually quite happy to have both sights mounted to the barrel rather than on the reciever anyhow. Even though it feels really tight, being primarily a benchrest rifle kind of guy I dont trust the barrel/action tightness enough, although im sure it's fine.

Yup... it's not good thats for sure. But it is getting much better very quickly with use and once i work out how to take this thing apart i might see if i cant polish thing up a wee bit. I think the trigger group must be really rough and burred from the factory. It has potential though, no creep and a clean break, just heavy... like 7 lbs heavy after about 100 round through it and several hundred dry fires on a snapper. But man, for those first 20 shots or so through it, it felt honestly more like 10lbs.

I picked up my 350 today. I had a chance to try her out tonight. I really didn't think that the trigger was bad at all. I don't mind it one bit.

I have been looking for a compact slug gun for a while now because thats all i can use for deer where i live, but had no real idea of what i wanted except that it had to have a short barrel with iron sights for rifled slugs, smoothbore so i had options, reliable, cheap.

At WSS the other day i see this Stevens 350 on the rack for $239 and after a quick assesment i bought it... but i bought it knowing i had an issue with it, that being the cheap looking sights. Otherwise i have seen Stevens guns in the past and they have a pretty good reputation for their cheap rifles so i figured what the heck.

Once i got home though i discovered a rollstamp on the other side i hadn't noticed somehow during the hasty instore inspection... made in the PRC.


Oh well, too late now. I like it, it shoots and functions very well, groups slugs really well, fit and finish is good for a cheap beater, points fast and the whole thing is solid steel. Im keeping it.

You can shoot slugs in/on the Southern Gulf Islands??

Any of you with a stevens 350 ever have problems extracting spent shells? Whenever I put those cheap target loads from Walmart or WSS into mine it fails to remove the spent shell from the chamber. Then it picks up a new shell and lines it up behind the one stuck in the chamber. It's a pain in the ass to clear.

I want to take it out with some different types of ammo and see if maybe it's just that cheap ammo it won't work with. I put 25-30 shells of winchester 00 buck through it when I first got it without issue.

Try some Rem. STS or Nitros or some old stiyle AA's. Maybe some Federal Gold Medals. Just make sure you send me the empties. I will try and dispose of them properly.
