Yes IIRC. Though they are not a perfect clone I believe as they don't have the interrupted threads on the barrel.
It actually does have interrupted threads, I assume you mean the action threads at the breech. I used to own an old ithica 37 featherlight and the only differences i see is that the old 37 only had 1 action bar where the Stevens has dual, and the safety is unnecessarily much larger on the Stevens than the 37. And... also the Stevens wont slamfire like the 37.
I was actually going to buy the ghost ring model but this is the only one they had in stock. Im actually quite happy to have both sights mounted to the barrel rather than on the reciever anyhow. Even though it feels really tight, being primarily a benchrest rifle kind of guy I dont trust the barrel/action tightness enough, although im sure it's fine.
